I had flown a 1969 Cardinal before I bought the C-180 and  I had always liked them.  I join the Cardinal Flyers Organization (CFO) which was one of the smartest things I did.  I found a 1978 RG for sale that was close by.  After 5 months,  I finally completed the purchase (another whole story unto itself).

My second aircraft is a 1978 Cessna Cardinal 177 RG.  This is one of the most fun aircraft to fly!  It will get you there in a hurry when you really need it and is a miser on fuel when you just want to fly for fun.  All out at 145 kts, you burn about 10.5 gph.  Slow her down and go lean of peak and you can get 110 kts at about 7 gph.
